
Oakland International Join Finalists at IGD Awards 2016
Family business Oakland International was delighted to join other finalists at this year’s celebrated IGD Awards 2016 in London on Tuesday 18th October for its sector leading Distress Load Management Service.
Oakland’s sector leading Distress Load Management Service reduces food losses for customers, loss adjusters and hauliers dealing with distressed loads.

Shortlisted in the Supply Chain Innovation Award category, Oakland International consistently demonstrates a recovery level of circa 80% of product, with nothing sent to landfill. To date they have successfully recovered some 2,000 tonnes of food; with any food waste redirected to nominated anaerobic digestion plant centres/recycling centres, where it is then used for renewable energy.
